During the past 10 years, more than 40 people have shared their real stories through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Tips From Former Smokers® (Tips®) campaign of how smoking has negatively impacted them and their families. Those stories inspired more than 16.4 million people to try to quit smoking and approximately 1 million to successfully quit between 2012 and 2018.
